We are a rapidly growing crypto hedge fund, 2 years old, managing a 9-figure AUM, generating 200%+ annualized returns with a 4 Sharpe.
We've grown to a team of ~35 across Trading & Research, Tech, and Operations. We're seeking a Fund Operations Associate with at least 5 years of experience who:
• (~80%) Supports various aspects of fund operations and vendor communications (especially our fund administrator). There will be many accounting tasks (reconciliation, reporting, expense processing, bank runs).
• (~20%) Supports various aspects of investor relations (new investor onboarding/KYC, fielding basic questions, preparing and sending routine reports).
• To be exposed to a wide variety of tasks across a hedge fund's operations and back-office. If you're interested in a career at a hedge fund, this is an ideal place to start.
• To learn faster than at many other places -- we will be giving you a wide variety of challenging tasks, and you can expect an accelerated career progression.
• To get in on the ground floor of a successful and rapidly growing team. There will be advancement opportunities as we continue to expand.
Our Requirements
Necessities
The following are the most important non-negotiable requirements for this role:
• You must have at least 5 years of experience combined in accounting and Fund administration.
• You must be coming from either a Quant Hedge Fund or any Crypto related firms.
• You must have strong interpersonal skills and discretion, as you will deal with routine requests from our investors.
• You must be extremely detail oriented. For example, we expect zero spelling or formatting errors in your work.
Tablestakes
We also expect the following as necessities for this role:
• This role is based out of our Taipei Xinyi office and you will be expected to come into the office 5 days per week for the first 12~18 months. After that, there's flexibility of remote in APAC time zone.
• You must be fluent in English and understand Chinese as you will be dealing with external counterparties in both languages.
Nice-to-Haves
These are bonuses that would make you more attractive to us, but are not strict requirements, as we can teach the right candidate:
• Experience with trade operations
• Knowledge of fund structures, legal documents, and regulatory requirements.
• Previous experience with investor relations or client servicing.
• Experience with cryptocurrencies.
Interview Process

• Recruiter Call - An overview of the company and role with some basic technical questions asked.
• First Interview (Fund Accounting) - Focused on testing your accounting knowledge while also screening for cultural fit.
• Second Interview (Investor Relations) - Focused on testing your interpersonal skills while also screening for cultural fit.
• There may be a final interview with one of our partners, depending on our discretion.
